THE GIRL BEHIND THE CAMERA...

I’m a self-taught, deeply driven photographer, studio owner, and your biggest hype girl. I am originally from the Twin Cities, but for over a decade, have been lucky to call rural southern Minnesota home, where I live on 5 acres with my husband, our two boys, and our two labs, Kai and Bear.

I’m endlessly passionate about documenting life as it unfolds and preserving the moments that make it meaningful. One of my favorite daily rituals is scrolling through “memories” or the on this day photos in my camera roll - especially when they remind me just how quickly my boys have grown. They really do grow so fast!

I’ll be the first to admit I can’t sit still. I’m always putzing around, tackling projects, reorganizing spaces, or suddenly deciding it’s the perfect time to redesign an entire room (sorry, hubby!).

My why is simple: family.

Everything I do is for my sons, JJ and Brooks. The sacred, everyday moments I want frozen in time with them are the same moments that fuel my passion to capture yours. When you work with me, you’re not just hiring a photographer - you’re trusting someone who truly understands the weight and beauty of these core memories.

THROUGH THE LENS & BEYOND

The way your hair is sitting on your shoulder, the way your partner keeps smirking at you to make you laugh, the way your mom is off to the side wiping her tears away before you see them, the height of the sun to see how much time we have left, etc. There’s not much that I’m not paying attention to at any given time!
Life. I used to be in a hurry to grow up so I could be independent, make my own choices, follow my own dreams, etc. Now, I wish I could slow down each day.
Pinning boutonnieres, managing the timeline, coordinating with the other vendors, overly checking the weather app, knowing exactly when sunset is, location scouting, calming your nerves and being the hype woman you never knew you needed!

There’s something special about images that don’t immediately give away when they were taken. Trends come and go - hairstyles, wedding decor, bridesmaid dresses, editing styles, even film aesthetics, and it’s often easy to pinpoint the exact year they were popular.
My goal is to document your day in a way that feels natural and enduring, creating images that will carry seamlessly into future decades.
One of the things I’m most grateful for is the flexibility to create my own schedule. It allows me to take my kids to their appointments or meet a friend for lunch in the middle of the week - without having to ask permission. Having a work life balance that truly fits my family’s needs has made me feel more fulfilled and successful than I ever imagined.
